KANOSUKE HIOKI POT STILL 2025 LIMITED EDITION

A limited release of Double Distillery, Kanosuke’s finest expression.
It celebrates our signature re-charred ex-shochu casks, which embody 140 years of family tradition and expertise.
Double Distillery brings together the best of Kanosuke and Hioki distilleries and their range of new make whiskies and cask types. 
Hioki's pot still whisky is specially matured in re-charred ex-shochu casks, as is usual for Kanosuke's single malt in this blend.
These casks, unique to us and used for the production of our famed Mellowed Kozuru, usually shape our single malt whisky, crafted at Kanosuke Distillery.
The single malt in this blend is matured in ex-sherry casks, then re-charred ex-shochu casks. The final touch is a small amount of whisky matured in rum casks.
The whiskies are masterfully blended, and the result is a mellow richness that unfolds in layers, elegantly wrapped in warming Japanese spice.
This evolution in Japanese blended whisky is the story of two brothers, each leading one of the family’s distilleries, 
honouring their grandfather and continuing his legacy of cask-aged spirits.
