Made with locally grown barley "Hoshun" from Kagoshima Prefecture.
Introducing KANOSUKE’s first Kagoshima-exclusive release. Utilizing an original malting process, “HIOKI Malting”, which adapts traditional shochu koji-making equipment, we malt Hoshun, a two-row barley grown in Kagoshima, at our own facility. The key malt is matured in re-charred ex-shochu casks and blended with whisky aged in bourbon and other casks. This whisky boasts aromas of green apple, a tropical fruit sweetness, and a rich malt character. Experience the mellow flavors nurtured by the land of Satsuma.
