This limited edition captures the essence of the Fukiagehama in spring. The fresh, herbaceous scent of the Hamago flower and the gentle sea breeze, expressed through a unique cask finish. Kanosuke Single Malt is crafted from whiskies distilled in three pot stills and matured in a variety of casks, including ex-shochu, sherry, bourbon and red wine casks. Each distinctive character is vatted together, layering the elegance and fineness of Japanese whisky with a richer, mellower flavour. This generously using whiskies aged in bourbon barrels and finished in apple brandy casks and aged in ex-shochu re-charred casks and finished in white wine casks as key malts. Layers of complexity built by sherry casks and a hint of peated whisky, refined by a slow dilution technique for a mellow depth. This whisky offers a gentle floral aromas, on the palate, soft sweetness reminiscent of yuzu bean paste and a long soothing echo of grapefruit and sea breeze aftertaste.
